Tue, 02 Dec 2025 12:51:32 -0800WeeblyFri, 13 Nov 2015 23:03:18 GMThttps://www.barkerschristmastreefarm.com/blog-with-us/1Thu, 01 Dec 2011 01:33:14 GMThttps://www.barkerschristmastreefarm.com/blog-with-us/post-title-click-and-type-to-edit2The weekend after Thanksgiving had a great start.  People came out in shorts to find their perfect Christmas tree.  By Sunday we were in rain gear including people with strollers!  We had to add our fourth picture board so that everyone's pictures could be displayed.  This was a good thing!  We've had families come out with new additions to their families and we've had families come out with some sadness of losses to their families.  On Saturday we had a wife come out with her baby sharing her story that her husband was in Afghanistan and he hasn't seen their baby yet.  Her tree was a treat from us thanking her for the sacrifice she's made of being without her husband and raising their child, but also a thank you from the Barker's Christmas Tree Farm  to her husband for protecting our freedom.  I'm sure as the season carry's on we will be able to share more stories from out tree families.  Until then, God bless!

The temperatures for the weekend sound great.  The pictures have been hung on our "picture wall" for everyone to come find.   Even if you're allergic to Christmas trees we have handmade wreaths perfect for the outdoors.  Dale spend hours on these and for the price you can't get a prettier wreath. We are very excited about this year and can't wait for everyone to come out. ]]>Sat, 29 Oct 2011 01:54:50 GMThttps://www.barkerschristmastreefarm.com/blog-with-us/post-title-click-and-type-to-editWell we've moved into a new era with our Christmas tree farm.  We have officially gone online.  As you begin putting together your shopping list; we are putting together our signs and sprucing up our trees.  Before you know it the day after Thanksgiving will be here and our customers will be back.  We have our precious returning families that have been with us now for nine years but we also enjoy meeting new families every year.  Our farm is still run by Dale and myself along with Dale's 85 year old father and mother, our children, their spouses, family and friends.  When we began our son had entered college, he since has graduated from college, married and has two children.  Our oldest daughter was in high school and had just gotten her driver's license; now she's a teacher, married and expecting our third grandchild.  Our youngest daughter was only fourteen; she's also graduated from college working as a social worker and has just gotten married.  Our purpose for starting our farm was to help offset the expense of having three children headed for college.  I'm blessed that all of our children have graduated from college and working in their field.  Now you may wonder well since we have all our children out of college where does that money go now, well did I mention we have 2 1/2 grandchildren!!!!  Until next time God's blessings on you.
